To collect heat data, heat sensing equipment will be attached to car windows and volunteers will drive around Santa Fe, following pre-designed routes. All volunteers will be required to attend an online training session to learn how to use the heat sensing equipment and collect the data. Volunteers will be paired up to fulfill one of two roles: Driver or Navigator.  An app will provide step-by-step driving instructions.

Virtual Volunteer Training: Monday June 10th, at 3:00 PM MST (session will be recorded)

The day of the study, volunteers will check-in and pick up sensing equipment at Ft. Marcy Park. Then, they will drive their assigned route, and return equipment to the check-in point after the route has been completed. Water and snacks will be available and a gas stipend will be provided to each volunteer who drives.

Volunteer shifts are at 6am, 3pm, and 7pm. Routes will take approximately 1hr to drive. Volunteers may sign up for multiple shifts.
